Job summary

Arriva Whitby depot is hiring a PCV Bus Driver to join our community-focused team. You will drive on defined routes, serve passengers with a high standard of customer care, and ensure safety and reliability on every journey.

Some shifts start early in the morning and run through evenings and weekends. Eligible drivers start at £14.00–£16.30 per hour, with progression after 18 months of experience. Benefits include 28 days annual leave, pension, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid PCV Licence.
• No more than 6 points on licence; ability to pass drug/alcohol tests.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate PCV buses on assigned routes and schedules.
• Provide friendly, helpful service to passengers and assist with inquiries.
• Keep the vehicle clean, report any faults and maintain safety standards.
• Comply with all traffic laws, company policies and safety regulations.
