Job summary

Arriva Kent Thameside Limited in Southend is hiring PCV Bus Driver to join our Southend depot. You’ll drive our buses on scheduled routes, serving morning commutes, the school run and weekend trips.

This is a shift-based role with early mornings, evenings and weekends. You’ll benefit from ongoing CPC training, clear progression paths, and employee travel perks.

Qualifications

• Full PCV licence
• Aged 18+
• No more than 6 points on licence
• Strong customer service skills

PCV Bus Driver — Southend

Progress your bus driving career with Arriva at our Southend depot. From the morning commute to the school run to the weekend shop, we connect our customers to what matters — and you'll be the familiar face that makes that happen.

Pay: £16.85 per hour (basic rate) — £17.26 per hour (weekend & bank holiday rate). Overtime, extra shifts, and bank holidays at premium rates. This is a shift‑based role covering early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Rotas are shared in advance.

Requirements

• Full PCV licence
• Aged 18+
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• Strong customer service skills
• Drug and alcohol test at your driving assessment (ongoing prescribed medication is fine with your doctor's approval to drive)
