Compensation

Pay Range: $15.50 - $19.50 / hour

Job Description

To assume responsibility for certain technical aspects of patient care as directed by the RN / LPN for the hospital. To obtain and record vitals, weight inputs and outputs. To successfully complete an in-house PCT training program. To demonstrate an awareness of patient and personal safety.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patient with everyday needs including bathing, restroom / bedpan assistance, etc.
  • To assume responsibility for certain technical aspects of patient care as directed by the RN / LPN for the hospital
  • Monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respirations, weights, input and outputs)
  • Obtain EKGs
  • Draw blood and perform finger sticks
  • Obtain fluid samples or other specimens for testing
  • Assist nursing staff in administering basic treatments
  • Notify nursing staff of any issues or concerns
  • Keep patient rooms clean and sanitized
  • Ensure rooms have adequate patient care supplies
  • Assist patients with particular issues or needs
  • Provide appropriate emotional support

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Certified with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within thirty (30) days of date of employment required.
