Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will be a registered pharmacist who is an independent prescriber or working towards this qualification. We are looking for an individual who is dynamic, committed to improving patient care and is passionate about clinical pharmacy. The candidate must be able to work effectively as part of a diverse practice team and work towards the PCN vision.

If you have experience within Primary Care that would be beneficial, but not essential. It is more important that you have the right transferrable skills and experience, have exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills and are passionate about patient care and wellbeing, as well as inspired by the wider NHS plans and opportunities. If you have a flexible approach and are resilient, calm under pressure with a teamwork mentality and a good sense of humour then we would love to hear from you.

About us

The Coastal PCN comprises the GP Practices in Teignmouth & Dawlish, with over 36,000 patients. We are seeking a pharmacist to play a key role in delivering the PCN agenda and to expand the role of clinical pharmacists within primary care. You will have the full support of the Clinical Directors and will work closely with all our clinicians and our PCN Pharmacists, technicians & Primary Care teams.

Qualifications and training
  • Completion of an Undergraduate degree in Pharmacy, and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in pharmacy, as demonstrated within a practice portfolio
