A leading healthcare organization in the Lake District seeks a PCN Administrator for a fixed term to cover maternity leave. The role involves supporting management teams across two GP Practices, including administrative duties and financial support. Experience in busy administration and knowledge of digital tools are preferred but training will be provided. This position offers potential for permanent employment after the maternity leave period. We are a forward-thinking and progressive PCN in the Lake District looking to recruit a PCN Administrator to cover maternity leave for twelve months. The role is to be based at Maryport Health Services & Castlegate & Derwent Surgery.
This vacancy is advertised with a view to a successful candidate being able to start in January 2026. This will allow for crossover with the current postholder before maternity leave commences.
This role (PCN Administrator) is a fixed term position but the Practices would be prepared to retain the successful candidate post-maternity leave, in a permanent position at either/both Practices.
The role of Administrator will be to support the PCN Management team, covering two GP Practices. The role includes: Attending meetings, minute taking, assisting with projects, assisting with data quality, extended access monitoring of provision, support with marketing, support with digital transformation projects, preparation of PCN reports and submissions.
Previous experience of working within the NHS, use of EMIS and Ardens is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
