Job summary

Alten is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to optimise PCB manufacturing processes in a fast-paced production environment in Telford. You will drive continuous improvement and support the delivery of advanced engineering solutions across multiple teams.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, on-site work (3 days/week), and eligibility for BPSS clearance. You will collaborate with design, quality and production teams to ensure manufacturability and robust documentation. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical military background.
• Experience in PCB manufacturing engineering and process improvement.
• Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Experience documenting manufacturing processes and creating work instructions.
• Proven ability to drive NPI and bring new products to production.

Responsibilities

• Support and optimise PCB manufacturing processes across production operations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency and yield.
• Lead root cause analysis and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate with design, quality and production teams to improve manufacturability.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, procedures and work instructions.
• Support new product introduction activities and process validation.
