Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking a PCB Final Assembly Supervisor in Newark on Trent. You will lead the Final Assembly team to ensure efficient production of PCB assemblies while maintaining high-quality standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in PCB Assembly or Electronics Manufacturing and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in PCB Assembly or Electronics Manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC J-STD-001 (certification desirable).
  • Experience with ISO9001/14001 systems and CAPA processes.

Location: Newark
Employment Type: Full-time, Temp to Permanent
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm

Purpose of the Role

The PCB Final Assembly Supervisor leads the Final Assembly team to ensure the efficient, safe, and high-quality completion of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs). The role focuses on meeting production targets, maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards, and driving continuous improvement in performance and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage daily/weekly production schedules in collaboration with the Production Manager.
  • Lead and develop the Final Assembly team, ensuring adherence to company and IPC standards.
  • Monitor production progress, quality, and safety, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Support training programs and maintain accurate training and quality documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement, 6S, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Enforce compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ESD control requirements.
  • Report KPIs and production metrics, and support maintenance and H&S activities.
  • Act as deputy for the PCB Production Manager when required.
Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in PCB Assembly or Electronics Manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC J-STD-001 (certification desirable).
  • Experience with ISO9001/14001 systems and CAPA processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
