PCB Assembly Technician

Greenwich, SE10

Ongoing long-term contract

Monday – Thursday, 41 hours per week

Day shifts and night shifts on a 2-weekly rotation

£10.20 - £11.22 per hour

The PCB Assembly Technician role is working in a busy manufacturing and production area, for a large engineering company in telecommunications.

Full training will be provided for the PCB Assembly Technician position, and the ideal candidate requires an interest in electronics and a practical, hands on position.

Responsibilities
  • Undertaking assembly processes, ensuring all ESD product disciplines are adhered to and products are correctly built and tested.
  • Following Engineering drawings to assemble the mechanical racking systems, sub assembly and wiring of all connections.
  • Building, assembling and installation of modules that make up the suites.
  • Rack wiring completed for all the panels connecting to each other as per drawing.
  • Assembling different power supply units and installation of cubicles.
  • Working on control panels, including complete wiring on the panels using crimp tools.
  • Component & D-type connector soldering.
  • Electrical/Prototype Wiring.
  • PCB Building.

The role is working within a team of Technical Assembly Operators, Support Engineers and Team Leaders you will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate building, testing and inspection of built articles. You will also be responsible for the manufacture of high-quality products for external customers.

Hours of work

The successful applicant will be required to work both day and night shifts, these shifts will be on a 2-week rotation.

Day shifts (x2 weeks)

Monday - Thursday: 06:00 – 17:15

Night shifts (x2 weeks)

Monday – Thursday: 18:00 – 05:15
