Job summary

Office Angels in Wimbledon is seeking a Payroll Transformation Lead to drive the transition to a new HR and Payroll platform. This fixed-term 9-month, full-time role focuses on governance, data integrity and compliant payroll processes throughout the transformation.

You will lead discovery, design payroll workflows, support system implementation and coordinate testing with HR, Payroll and stakeholders, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading payroll transformation projects and HR/payroll system implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, statutory payments, pensions, reconciliations and HMRC compliance.
  • Experience mapping processes and designing efficient payroll workflows.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • The ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the discovery and analysis phase of the payroll transformation programme
  • Review and design payroll processes, workflows and system configurations
  • Support system implementation, migration and optimisation activities
  • Coordinate testing activities, including UAT and quality assurance processes
  • Ensure payroll data accuracy and integrity throughout the project lifecycle
  • Drive stakeholder engagement and effective change management initiatives
  • Provide regular project updates, reporting and governance oversight
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, statutory requirements and HMRC regulations
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, issues and dependencies
  • Support training and adoption of new processes and systems

The Role

As Payroll Transformation Lead, you will lead the transition to a new HR and Payroll platform, working closely with payroll, HR and key stakeholder groups to ensure a smooth implementation with minimal disruption to business operations.

You will be responsible for establishing strong governance, maintaining data integrity, managing project delivery and ensuring payroll processes are fully compliant throughout the transformation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the discovery and analysis phase of the payroll transformation programme
  • Review and design payroll processes, workflows and system configurations
  • Support system implementation, migration and optimisation activities
  • Coordinate testing activities, including UAT and quality assurance processes

Requirements:
