Job description

Marks Sattin are delighted to be partnering up with a long standing client who are looking for a Payroll Team Leader to join on a 6-9 months period.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll Professional to join a busy Payroll team.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the accurate and timely processing of all payroll
• Oversee the daily operations of the payroll team
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and automation to drive efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of statutory regulations, including PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments, and pensions.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the payroll administration team, supporting their delivery of both weekly and monthly payroll cycles.
• Manage payroll system upgrades, including testing and the implementation of new features or functionality.
• Provide support to the Group Payroll Manager on various ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives as needed.

Experience

• Effective people management skills
• 5+ years payroll experience
• CIPP Qualification desirable
