Job summary

A professional services firm in the United Kingdom is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic payroll team. The role involves processing payrolls accurately and managing statutory payments. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in PAYE payroll and strong Excel skills. Qualifications

Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Location: Staverton OR Swindon

Hybrid: Office-Based for probation (6 months) / training and then hybrid after that

Permanent: Yes (Full Time / Will consider reduced hour contracts to 30 hours)

Working with a variety of clients, you'll deliver accurate and compliant payrolls while developing your professional expertise in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Do
  • Process multiple payrolls end-to-end, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
  • Manage statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP, etc.) and auto enrolment duties.
  • Maintain precise records and payroll documentation.
  • Liaise confidently with clients and internal teams to resolve queries.
  • Support process improvement and contribute to team success.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in PAYE payroll, RTI, and auto enrolment.
  • Knowledge of Cintra software (advantageous but not essential).
  • Strong Excel skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and customer service approach.
