Job Description

As Payroll Service Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional payroll customer service to our team, while gaining valuable experience in a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field first‑line payroll queries via the query management system, calls, and emails from employees
  • Log, resolve, or assign queries in line with departmental SLAs
  • Monitor and chase outstanding queries daily
  • Deliver a high‑quality payroll customer service experience in collaboration with the wider payroll team
  • Support the payroll service manager with ad hoc duties during key payroll periods
  • Share information and best practices with internal teams, identifying query trends to address root causes
  • Manage password reset requests
Professional and Personal Competencies / Qualifications
  • Strong customer service background, ideally from a call centre or phone‑based role
  • Confident handling high volumes of inbound queries with clear and professional responses
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain payroll processes simply and supportively
  • Accurate administrative skills, including logging queries, updating systems, and following processes
  • High attention to detail when inputting and managing employee information
  • Collaborative team player, supporting payroll and HR colleagues
  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and HR / payroll systems (training can be provided)
