Job summary

JGA Recruitment is seeking a Payroll Senior to manage end-to-end payrolls for a varied client base, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with current legislation. This role suits someone who thrives in a client-focused environment within a growing practice.

You'll handle weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls, auto-enrolment pensions, RTI submissions, year-end tasks, and respond to payroll queries, while maintaining records and supporting the payroll team.

Qualifications

  • End-to-end payroll experience, ideally within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau.
  • Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Experience using payroll software (BrightPay advantageous).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Able to manage multiple payrolls and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with a professional, client–focused approach.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team.

Salary: GBP28,000 GBP34,000

Location: Office–based

Hours: Full–time or Part–time

The Role

You’ll manage end–to–end payroll processing for a varied client base, ensuring payrolls are delivered accurately, on time and in line with current legislation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a client–focused environment and wants to be part of a growing business.
