Job summary

Barchester Healthcare in Inverness is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our established finance team. You will ensure accurate and timely processing and payment of employees, and that expenses are paid in accordance with policy.

The role involves processing weekly payrolls, supporting nursing homes across the UK with payroll queries, ensuring accurate data input by Administrators, producing payslips and reports, monthly reconciliation of control accounts, and assisting with year-end returns.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll processing.
• Some understanding of PAYE.
• High level of accuracy and ability to process large volume payrolls.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Process a large number of payrolls on a weekly basis.
• Support nursing homes across the UK with payroll related queries.
• Ensure nursing home Administrators input data to internal systems correctly and accurately.
• Produce payslips and reports for homes.
• Monthly reconciliation of control accounts.
• Assist with year-end returns.
