Job description

Our Gloucester based client is currently looking to appoint a Senior Payroll Officer on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This opportunity is available for an immediate start with hybrid working options available.

  • Accurately process payroll information such as new starters, leavers, contractual changes, absences, overtime and related data, ensuring all submissions are authorised and employee records remain current. Review, validate and quality-check payroll entries made by Payroll colleagues on the system to guarantee accurate and timely salary payments. Participate in a rota with fellow Senior Payroll Officers to manage and deliver the weekly payroll run. Assess and apply previous employment service details within the payroll system to ensure correct entitlement and pay calculations. Perform complex manual calculations where required, ensuring all adjustments are accurately reflected. Respond effectively and professionally to payroll-related enquiries from employees, managers and HR colleagues. Maintain organised and up-to-date payroll documentation and employee files as required.
