Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in the United Kingdom is seeking a Payroll Officer for a contract role. The ideal candidate will check and enter timesheets, run payroll reports, and handle payroll queries. This position offers a competitive pay of GBP13 – GBP18 per hour and the possibility to extend or transition to a permanent role. The work will be based in Whiteley, requiring 5 days in the office with some remote flexibility after 3 months.

Qualifications

• Experience with Contractor payroll is highly advantageous.
• Experience with CIS is beneficial.
• Strong data entry skills is essential.

Job description

Venture Recruitment Partners are working with a successful services business in their search a Payroll Officer on a contract basis. In this role you will be working with the larger payroll team, as well as the wider finance team in general. This role can run anywhere from 4 weeks to 6 months and also has the chance of going permanent. It is paying GBP13 – GBP18p/h depending on your level of experience.

Responsibilities

• Checking and entering timesheets and expenses
• Running and sending out reports
• Entering P45/New Starter Checklists and other tax details
• Ensuring correct paperwork has been received
• Dealing with payroll queries from internal and external stakeholders

Experience

Salary and Benefits

• GBP13 – GBP18p/d depending on experience
• Based in Whiteley, 5 days a week in the office. There is the option of 1 day a week from home if you are there for over 3 months
