We're looking for a Part-Time Payroll Manager to join our Finance team. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for accurately processing Thredd's payroll and supporting colleagues across the globe. As the sole Payroll Manager you will lead every aspect of the payroll processing lifecycle.

What you'll be doing as a Payroll Manager
  • Responsibility for accurately processing the company's payroll in the UK, Singapore, the Netherlands, UAE and Australia in collaboration with our payroll partner, Deel. In addition to those territories, you'll also be processing semi-monthly payrolls in the US using JustWorks and oversee payroll for colleagues paid via an EOR
  • Solely responsible for handling all aspects of payroll processing, including data entry, payroll submissions, verification, final payouts and record maintenance
  • Lead in ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues across Finance and HR, including generating and distributing payroll reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee superannuation, pension, 401k, salary sacrifice schemes, and other payrolled benefits.
  • Accurately process global payroll, including wages, bonuses, deductions, statutory contributions, salary changes, and leave-related adjustments while maintaining complete employee payroll records.
  • Responding to payroll queries from colleagues and external agencies in a timely and professional manner
  • Leading payroll-related projects and initiatives to improve processes and systems
What you'll bring to the Payroll Manager position
  • Proven experience working independently in a payroll processing role, preferably within a corporate environment
  • Sound knowledge of payroll legislation, regulations, and best practices - particularly detailed knowledge of UK legislation
  • Knowledge of global payroll matters and management of these
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office applications, and advanced Excel skillset
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
