The Role

A great opportunity for an experienced Payroll Manager to lead a small, friendly team within a trusted, not-for‑profit organisation that provides vital public sector services. You'll oversee weekly and monthly payrolls, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement across all payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage end‑to‑end payroll for c.400 employees.
  • Mentor and support two Payroll Officers.
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely BACS submissions.
  • Oversee pensions (including LGPS and auto‑enrolment).
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
Ideal Candidate
  • Strong end‑to‑end payroll management experience.
  • Excellent UK payroll and pension legislation knowledge.
  • Leadership experience within a medium/large organisation.
  • iTrent experience preferred.
  • Detail‑oriented, proactive, and confident communicator.
