Overview

Payroll Manager | Nottinghamshire | £40,000 + Benefits | Hybrid Working

We're supporting a meaningful, values-driven organisation in Nottinghamshire in their search for a talented Payroll Manager (Or Senior Payroll Professional) to take ownership of their end-to-end payroll operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys improving systems and processes, takes pride in accuracy, and communicates confidently across all levels of an organisation.

The role

You'll be responsible for managing the full payroll cycle for around 600 employees across the 3 entities, ensuring every element of pay, tax, and pension is processed accurately and on time.

Working closely with finance, HR and external partners, you'll also lead on process review and improvement projects to enhance efficiency and control.

Key responsibilities
  • Managing end-to-end payroll with 1 direct report
  • Overseeing PAYE, pensions, P11Ds, and all statutory returns
  • Acting as system administrator and main point of contact for payroll queries
  • Supporting HMRC submissions, audits and year-end reconciliations
  • Ensuring data accuracy and GDPR compliance
  • Partnering with HR on workforce reporting, absence and family-friendly schemes
  • Reviewing existing processes and implementing improvements
