Payroll Implementation Consultant
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000
Location: London
Working Pattern: Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver payroll consulting projects, including end-to-end payroll reviews, process improvements and recommendations
- Support payroll transformation and technology implementation projects
- Provide payroll compliance and controls support across UK and international environments
- Assist with RFPs, vendor selection, pre-sales and bid development
- Work closely with clients and internal project teams to deliver high-quality solutions
- Support stakeholder engagement, workshops and client presentations
- Contribute to payroll best practice, thought leadership and process improvement
Ideal Candidate
- Strong end-to-end UK payroll experience, ideally with exposure to the full annual payroll cycle
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation including PAYE, NI, pensions, statutory payments, IR35 and GDPR
- Confident using Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, SUMIF and COUNTIF
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
- Comfortable working with payroll technology such as SAP, Oracle, Workday or Dayforce
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ideally, experience with payroll implementation, transformation, consulting or payroll vendors
- International payroll experience would be advantageous
