Job summary

JGA Recruitment is seeking a Payroll Implementation Consultant to lead end-to-end payroll reviews, drive process improvements and support transformation projects in London.

You will work with UK and international payroll, ensuring compliance with PAYE, NI, pensions, GDPR, and engage with clients through workshops and pre-sales activities.

Qualifications

• Strong end-to-end UK payroll experience, ideally with exposure to the full annual payroll cycle.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation including PAYE, NI, pensions, statutory payments, IR35 and GDPR.
• Excel proficiency with PivotTables, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF.
• Analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
• Experience with payroll technology such as SAP, Oracle, Workday or Dayforce.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver payroll consulting projects, including end-to-end payroll reviews, process improvements and recommendations
• Support payroll transformation and technology implementation projects
• Provide payroll compliance and controls support across UK and international environments

Ideal Candidate

• Strong end-to-end UK payroll experience, ideally with exposure to the full annual payroll cycle
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation including PAYE, NI, pensions, statutory payments, IR35 and GDPR
• Confident using Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, SUMIF and COUNTIF
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
• Comfortable working with payroll technology such as SAP, Oracle, Workday or Dayforce
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ideally, experience with payroll implementation, transformation, consulting or payroll vendors
• International payroll experience would be advantageous
