📍 Location: Doncaster

🕒 Contract: Fixed Term ( Maternity Cover - approx. 12 months )

💼 Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

💰 Salary: Competitive ( above NMW )

About the Role

Power & Infrastructure Resourcing Ltd is looking for a detail‑oriented and proactive Payroll & Finance Assistant to join our Doncaster‑based team on a maternity cover contract, starting as soon as possible.

You’ll play a key role in supporting our finance department, ensuring the accurate processing of payrolls, invoices, and financial administration for our growing rail and infrastructure workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payrolls
  • Maintain accurate employee and contractor records, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and expenses
  • Reconcile accounts and support month‑end reporting
  • Provide payroll and finance‑related support to both internal teams and external workers
  • Assist the Finance Manager with ad‑hoc administrative and reporting tasks
About You
  • Previous experience in a payroll or finance assistant position
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation and accounting principles
  • Strong numerical and organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/payroll systems
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work to deadlines
  • Team player with a positive and professional attitude
