Job summary

A recruitment agency in Mansfield is seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk for a fully office-based role. The successful candidate will manage a weekly payroll, ensuring compliance with legislation, and possess experience with high-volume payroll processing using Sage or IRIS. Attention to detail and strong MS Office skills are essential for this position.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience within a payroll role.
  • Experience of and producing high volume payroll runs.
  • The ability to work within the office full time.

  • Ensuring that all workers are paid correctly on time.
  • Processing pensions, SSP, SMP, SPP, national insurance.
  • Calculation of monthly overtime hours.
  • Setting up new starters and processing leaver documentation.
  • Administer Year End Payroll procedures.

Payroll Clerk - Fully office-based role

We have a fabulous opportunity for an experienced Payroll Clerk to join a highly successful organisation within the Nottinghamshire area. You will be responsible for ensuring the payroll is run accurately and smoothly whilst adhering to current legislation.

Responsibilities
  • Collation and preparation of a weekly payroll for the group of companies
  • Ensuring that all workers are paid correctly, on time and in line with current legislation.
  • Processing pensions, SSP, SMP, SPP, national insurance, income tax and other statutory deductions.
  • Calculation of monthly overtime hours, processing timesheets, accurately recording staff absences, and producing reports
  • Setting up new starters and processing leaver documentation and final payments and P45's
  • Healthcare and company benefit administration preparation of P11D's.
  • Administer to Year End Payroll procedures issuing P60'S
  • Ensuring all payroll and HR records kept accurate and up to date.
  • Assisting with annual accounts audit and personnel record maintenance
Qualifications
  • Previous experience within a payroll role
  • Experience of and producing high volume payroll runs using of Sage or IRIS
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage own workload.
  • Good use of MS Office including Excel
  • The ability to work within the office full time
