Job summary

Charles Taylor is seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to join the HR - Payroll & Benefits team. You will deliver accurate UK and Spain payroll and support benefits administration in an international environment.

You will collaborate with HR and Finance, work with outsourced providers, and ensure compliance with payroll legislation while maintaining tight deadlines and data integrity.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years UK payroll knowledge (essential)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, legislation and statutory requirements
  • Experience working with outsourced payroll providers
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies and data issues
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to working with sensitive data
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end processing of UK and Spain payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Prepare and validate payroll changes, reconciliations and payroll variance checks
  • Work closely with outsourced payroll providers to investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure payroll processes remain compliant with relevant legislation and statutory requirements
  • Support benefits and pension administration
  • Respond to and resolve employee payroll and benefits queries, providing high level of customer service
  • Maintain accurate payroll documentation, processes and SOPs
  • Produce payroll reports and support wider HR and Finance reporting requirements
  • Contribute to payroll projects, process improvements and initiatives to improve efficiency and data quality
  • Work collaboratively with HR, Finance and other internal stakeholders

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Analyst to join our HR - Payroll & Benefits team and support the accurate, timely and compliant delivery of payroll across the UK and Spain. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong payroll experience who enjoys working with data, solving problems and collaborating with HR, Finance and external payroll providers in an international environment.

What you'll be doing
  • Supporting the end-to-end processing of UK and Spain payrolls, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
  • Preparing and validating payroll changes, reconciliations and payroll variance checks
  • Working closely with outsourced payroll providers to investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensuring payroll processes remain compliant with relevant legislation and statutory requirements
  • Supporting benefits and pension administration

  • Producing payroll reports and supporting wider HR and Finance reporting requirements

Desirable
  • Experience or knowledge of Spanish payroll
  • CIPP qualification at Level 3 or above
  • Experience supporting benefits and pension administration
  • Experience working within an international or multi-country payroll environment
  • Spanish language skills are not required, although experience with Spanish payroll would be a bonus
