Job summary

A well-established organisation in Brighton seeks an Experienced Payroll Administrator to handle end-to-end payroll across client accounts and maintain accurate records. Candidates must possess strong numerical skills, Excel proficiency, and a minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths & English. Role: Experienced Payroll Administrator
Location: Brighton (office–based with some hybrid flexibility)
Hours: Full–time, 37.5 hours Monday–Friday (minimum 30 hours / 4 days considered)
Pay: 28,000 – 32,500 per annum (DOE)

The Requirements
  • Strong numerical and data entry skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate record–keeping
  • Competent Excel user
  • Ability to work methodically and manage a busy workload
  • Confident communicator across all mediums with colleagues and clients
  • Comfortable problem solving and using own initiative
  • IT–savvy and confident learning new systems
  • Reliable, organised, and able to prioritise effectively
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs A–C including Maths & English

The Role
  • Process end–to–end payroll across a range of client accounts
  • Maintain and update payroll records accurately
  • Calculate part–month pay and holiday entitlements
  • Manage statutory payments
  • Process P45s and associated payroll documentation
  • Liaise with clients, resolving payroll queries and providing clear explanations
  • Administer pension schemes across multiple providers
  • Work with payroll software including Sage, STAR and Xero
