SCS Accounting Solutions in Dereham is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator on a part-time basis to support a growing portfolio of clients. You will manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements, and maintain detailed records.
Key responsibilities include CIS awareness, RTI submissions to HMRC, auto-enrolment pension administration, and resolving client payroll queries promptly while upholding GDPR standards.

We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail-focused Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the end-to-end payroll process for a growing portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with relevant statutory requirements and company policies. This role plays a crucial part in supporting our clients and maintaining the financial accuracy of their payroll system.
You'll need relevant knowledge of employment law and statutory legislation, ensuring accuracy and a methodical approach to meeting tight deadlines. It is essential that you have a strong knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) process, legislation and governance.
Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for multiple clients from start to finish
Calculating PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP), attachments and pension contributions
Setting up new starters and processing leavers, including P45s
Submitting Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC and managing year-end processes, including P60s & P11Ds.
Assessment and administration of auto-enrolment pension schemes, processing contributions and liaising with pension providers
Responding to client and employee payroll queries in a clear, professional and timely manner, while building trusted relationships.
Liaise with HMRC or other authorities regarding tax codes, payments, and other payroll-related matters.
Maintaining accurate payroll records in line with GDPR and firm procedures
CIS requirements, processing of sub-contractor invoices, verifying with HMRC, and advising clients of CIS deductions. Providing sub-contractors with monthly payment & deduction reports.
Any ad-hoc duties or financial and operational reporting to support the team as needed
