Job Description

You'll be involved in all areas of payroll delivery and support over 1,000 colleagues across the UK.

Key responsibilities of the Payroll Administrator will include:

  • End-to-end payroll processing with accuracy and compliance at the heart
  • Calculating statutory payments (sickness, maternity, paternity, etc.)
  • Recording absence and managing associated data
  • Handling timesheets, attachment of earnings, and payroll queries
  • Supporting benefit schemes including pensions and childcare vouchers
  • Assisting with producing reports and analysis (e.g. Gender Pay Gap, National Living Wage)
  • Contributing to continuous improvement projects, including system upgrades
  • Acting as a trusted point of contact for internal stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

This role would suit someone who takes pride in getting the details right and enjoys being part of a team that's collaborative, caring, and forward-thinking. Ideally the Payroll Administrator will bring:

  • Proven experience in end-to-end payroll
  • Strong Excel skills (including vlookups)

  • A willingness to embrace new systems and processes


Previous experience in a multi-site or retail environment is a plus, as is exposure to system change projects.
