Role Overview

Role: Experienced Payroll Administrator

Location: Brighton (office-based with hybrid flexibility)

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours Monday-Friday (minimum 30 hours / 4 days considered)

Pay: £28,000 - £32,500 per annum (DOE)

Requirements
  • Strong numerical and data entry skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping
  • Competent Excel user
  • Ability to work methodically and manage a busy workload
  • Confident communicator across all mediums with colleagues and clients
  • Comfortable problem solving and using own initiative
  • IT‑savvy and confident learning new systems
  • Reliable, organised, and able to prioritise effectively
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs A‑C including Maths & English

The Role
  • Process end‑to‑end payroll across a range of client accounts
  • Maintain and update payroll records accurately
  • Calculate part‑month pay and holiday entitlements
  • Manage statutory payments
  • Process P45s and associated payroll documentation
  • Liaise with clients, resolving payroll queries and providing clear explanations
  • Administer pension schemes across multiple providers
  • Work with payroll software including Sage, STAR and Xero
