Job summary

JPMorgan Chase seeks an experienced risk and control professional to strengthen payments operations across global teams. You will drive the control agenda, support change initiatives, and partner with risk, compliance, and audit functions to ensure robust risk management.

Responsibilities include end-to-end process reviews, automation opportunities, and implementing resilience and regulatory controls. You will lead with credibility at senior levels and guide cross-functional partners to sustain

Qualifications

• Proven risk and control management experience in payments ops or treasury services.
• Experience with data tools (Excel/Tableau/Alteryx/Power BI) and applying AI/ML for analytics.
• Strong leadership and credibility with senior stakeholders.
• Deep knowledge of Change Management, regulatory/industry frameworks, risk control.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to drive root-cause analyses.

• Drive the Operations control agenda with risk and change management support.
• Manage control elements for strategic projects, incl. process improvements and migrations.
• Conduct root cause analysis and oversee preventive actions to reduce risk.
• Guide operational improvements aligned with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct end-to-end reviews of key processes, seeking automation and efficiency gains.
• Coordinate with CCOR, Internal Audit, Product, Tech, and Finance for integrated risk management.
• Provide guidance on corporate policies, risk, and regulatory expectations.
• Coordinate internal audits and regulatory reviews with remediation of findings.
• Design and execute proactive reviews to validate control effectiveness.
• Ensure business resiliency testing adheres to CIB guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

• Support operations and controls in change and event-related activities, mapping data taxonomy across business, risk, control, and data domains.
• Drive the Operations control agenda, providing risk and change management support to the business, and ensuring alignment with global Payment Controls strategy.
• Manage control elements related to strategic projects, including process improvements, technology migrations, and regulatory initiatives.
• Conduct root cause analysis, implement preventive actions, and oversee process changes to mitigate operational risks.
• Guide the direction of operational improvements in line with long-term strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct and oversee end-to-end reviews of key operational processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
• Partner with Operational Risk, Compliance (CCOR), Internal Audit, Product, Technology, and Finance to ensure integrated risk management and compliance.
• Provide guidance to operations partners regarding corporate policies, risk, and control management, and regulatory expectations.
• Coordinate internal audits, CCOR and TCOE (Testing Center of Excellence) reviews, and external regulatory reviews, ensuring timely remediation of findings.
• Design and execute an independent, proactive review and testing program to validate control effectiveness.
• Ensure adequacy and regular testing of business resiliency plans in accordance with CIB Resiliency guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Proven experience in risk and control management within Payments Operations, Treasury Services, or a similar financial services environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with data tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI) and ability to use and apply AI/ML to drive analytics for operational risk and control.
• Confident, self-motivated decision-maker with strong leadership skills and credibility at senior levels.
• Deep knowledge of Change Management, Business/Industry/Regulatory frameworks, Risk Control, Compliance, and corporate policies.
• Strong analytical skills to assess and resolve complex business issues, with a focus on root cause analysis and process improvement.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including data presentation, influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and deliver against multiple objectives in a fast-paced, global environment.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across functions and geographies.
• Good product knowledge: familiar with Payment Operations and Treasury Services product set is desirable.
• Experience leading strategic operations-related projects on a global scale is preferable
