Overview

There are volunteering opportunities offered by Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust at Darent Valley Hospital and Queen Mary’s Hospital, Sidcup. Volunteers help support the hospital in various ways, including assisting clinical staff on wards, meeting and greeting, and supporting office-based staff with admin tasks. Volunteers are expected to commit a minimum of 3 hours per week. Subject to satisfactory references, Criminal Records Bureau checks and Occupational Health clearance and an informal interview, applicants may be invited to join the volunteer programme. After completing the training programme, volunteers move onto specific placements at the Trust.

Responsibilities

Main duties include the role of Patient Voice Partner and related volunteering activities as directed by the Trust.
