Patient Travel Assistant (Ref: 231224)

Substantive – Full Time (37 hours per week)

  • Band 3 – Salary Range: £28,011 - £30,230 per annum
  • Distant Island Allowance: £2,482 per annum

The Patient Travel Department is looking to recruit a Patient Travel Assistant to join the team. In this role you will work in an extremely busy yet rewarding environment, providing a service that directly benefits patients. The post is office‑based, and upon completion of training you will be required to take part in the on‑call rota for evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Educated to SVQ3 level (or equivalent experience) with Standard Grade English and good arithmetical skills.
  • Proficiency in ECDL or equivalent computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills and experience in an administrative role within a public‑facing service.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting and with travel systems desirable but not essential; systems training will be provided and will be specific to departmental requirements.
  • Compliance with Induction Standards and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers within 3 months of commencing.

Consideration will be given to job share.
