Job summary

TFP Thames Valley Fertility in Maidenhead is seeking a part-time Patient Support Assistant to deliver exceptional administration and client care. You will be the central contact for patients, staff and visitors, handling enquiries in person, by phone, and via email with a focus on accurate records and timely responses.

You will support funding, appointments and test results along the fertility journey, liaising with NHS consultants and satellite services.

Qualifications

• Educated to Higher Level.
• Experience in an administration role.
• Experience communicating with patients face-to-face and by phone.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office packages.
• Excellent keyboard/IT skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to communicate with staff and patients.
• Strong time management.
• Commitment to high-quality patient experience.
• Comfortable taking payments from patients.
• Customer-focused and empathetic.

Responsibilities

• Respond to initial enquiries via telephone/email within 24 hours of receipt.
• Process referrals between GP, consultant and self-referral within 3 days.
• Coordinate with satellite clinics to deliver a seamless patient pathway.
• Explain processes to new patients and those seeking treatment.
• Maintain accurate filing of patient records and correspondence.
• Use the patient database to record and manage appointments and invoicing.
• Log all communications with patients in the database.
• Ensure payments for paid appointments are collected and followed up.
• Scan and file patient notes, invoices and paperwork into the system.
