We are looking for a kind, caring and fun individual to join #TeamCastle Patient Services Coordination Team.

This Team are the voice and the face of the Practice and are hugely appreciated by the wider Practice Team.

As a Patient Services Coordinator you will support patients to access the care they need, from the best person for their need, and at the right time. You will support patients in understanding the ever‑developing health services that are available to them and provide kindness and understanding during their most challenging times.

In return for your kindness and understanding shown towards our patients, Team Castle offers a supportive and fun work‑place which is dedicated to encouraging you to develop skills in the areas you most enjoy.

This role is full time, working 08:00-18:00 four days per week between Monday & Friday, applicants need to be able to work any of these days, although you will be given a set day off per week. We offer the opportunity to work overtime on Saturdays for enhanced pay.

Main duties of the job
  • Signpost patients to the best service for their need.
  • Book and manage appointments using the clinical system.
  • Communicate with the wider Practice Team to enable smooth transitions of care.
  • Utilise the telephone and online triage systems.

Key Responsibilities
Reception Duties
  • Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Manage incoming calls and inquiries, providing accurate information and assistance.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar using our online triage system, Footfall.
  • Verify patient information and ensure accurate record‑keeping using SystmOne (experience with this system is desirable).
Administrative Support
  • Assist with general administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the practice.
  • Collect and record patient information as required.

Opportunities for Development:In addition to the main duties, we offer opportunities for professional growth in areas such as prescription clerking, clinical coding, and phlebotomy, should you be interested in expanding your skills. Additionally, training for roles such as Wellbeing Champion and Domestic Abuse Champion is available for those who wish to take on these responsibilities.
