Patient Service Assistant (Receptionist)

Modality Partnership – Mid Sussex Division is recruiting a Patient Services Assistant to join our friendly team. This is a full-time post, though part-time (minimum 25 hours) will be considered. You will play a key role in supporting patients, clinicians and the wider Primary Care Team, helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. About the Role

This is a varied, patient-facing and administrative role, combining reception duties with back-office tasks. You will:

  • Support patients with appointment bookings and general enquiries (in person and by phone)
  • Signpost patients to appropriate services
  • Complete administrative and clerical tasks
  • Work flexibly as part of a busy practice team

This is not a standard 9–5 role and requires adaptability, initiative and teamwork.

About You

This role suits someone who:

  • Enjoys working with patients and providing high-quality customer service
  • Is confident, compassionate and professional
  • Has strong communication, IT and organisational skills
  • Can remain calm and effective under pressure

Previous experience in customer service, call handling or healthcare is desirable.
