A healthcare provider in Ashby-de-la-Zouch is seeking a Patient Service Advisor to assist patients with appointment bookings and general enquiries. The ideal candidate should have experience in customer service and familiarity with NHS processes. This role includes responsibilities such as managing front desk operations and working closely with the clinical team to ensure efficient patient services.
Our patient services team is an instrumentalpart of our team. As a patient service advisor, you will be that first point ofcontact for our patients providing them with key assistance in a friendly andpositive manner. You will support our patients to access the care they requirewith the most appropriate clinician or service, following practice appointmentbooking procedures.
You will work as a flexiblemember of the team and report to the Patient Service Leads and Management Team.
A working knowledge of generalpractice or the NHS, SystmOne and Microsoft Applications would be desirable, howeveradditional training can be provided. Past experience of customer services is essential.
The position is suitable forsomeone who is able to work on their own initiative, problem solve effectively,be self-sufficient and manage their own workload effectively with minimalsupervision.
Supporting patients with booking, moving or cancellingappointments in-line with practice procedures
Dealing with general enquiries at the front desk or over thephone
Booking ambulances and making referrals to the districtnursing team as required
Signing in visitors to the practice
Supporting with opening and closing the premises up
Any additional duties that are appropriate to this role

Our clinical team is supported by an extensive and experienced management, patient services and administration team.
We are a training practice, keen to share our knowledge and support our team to develop. Peer support is available.
We are an active member of our Primary Care Network working alongside our fellow practices.
