A leading healthcare provider in Basildon is seeking a Patient Pathway Assistant to facilitate patient journey management through effective administrative support within a clinical setting. Candidates should have experience in a hospital environment and familiarity with Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems. This full-time fixed-term role offers a competitive salary of £24,937 per annum, with opportunities for career development and training. The role is essential for ensuring compliance with NHS targets and efficient patient care.
Work within a specific clinical area to support the smooth running of the patient journey by ensuring that administrative processes revolve around the patient and their individual needs.
Support the Patient Pathway Co‑ordinator in providing administrative support to all clinical staff within the clinical area including Consultants, Nurse Specialists and Junior Doctors.
Support the Patient Pathway Co‑ordinator, clinical team, Operational Manager and other divisional managers in ensuring the specialty are able to deliver safe and effective services whilst also ensuring compliance with contractual access targets e.g. the 18 weeks referral to Treatment target.
As required, provide cross‑cover for other Patient Pathway Assistants to ensure a consistent and effective administration service is maintained at all times.
