Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust is seeking a Catering Supervisor to lead the retail catering team for patients, staff and visitors. You will oversee food preparation, service and stock control, with close liaison to the Food Production Team to ensure cost effective, high-quality service.

The role involves opening/locking duties, ensuring equipment is switched off, and maintaining strong customer service levels both internally and externally.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising catering staff.
• Understanding of HACCP and COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the team to prepare, order, cook, store and serve food for staff and visitors.
• Coordinate with the Food Production Manager to maintain adequate staffing levels.
• Provide supervision, direction and support in preparation and service of retail units.
• Ensure stock and staffing levels stay within budget and maintain customer service quality.
