Job description

Hours: 10-hour shifts across 4 days each week, giving you one weekday off. Weekend and bank holiday cover on a rotational basis.

Role and Responsibilities

As a PCA, you'll work across all areas of the practice, supporting Veterinary Surgeons, Nurses, and our client care team. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the hospital and delivering exceptional care to our patients.

• Prepare theatre for surgeries and maintain instrument quality
• Assist with patient care and husbandry
• Run in‑house lab tests and package biological samples
• Clean, disinfect, and prepare patient accommodation
• Follow infection control procedures, including sterilising and deep cleaning
• Support reception duties: answering calls, booking procedures, and taking payments
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, demonstrating reliability, adaptability, and empathy
