A busy healthcare provider located in Gloucester is looking to recruit two part-time Patient Advisors. Candidates must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure. The role involves providing customer service, managing phone calls, and handling appointments. Successful candidates will receive training, and prior experience is not essential. We currently have two part-time vacancies for a PatientAdvisors (prior experience of working as a receptionist in a healthcareenvironment would be beneficial but not essential as we are happy to train theright candidates who show promise and who we feel will fit into our existing friendlyteam) covering the following hours:
25.5 hours
Thursday: 1pm-6:00pm
Friday: 1pm-6:30pm
26 hours
Monday: 1pm-6:00pm
Tuesday: 1pm-6:00pm
Thursday:1pm-6:30pm
Friday:1pm-6:30pm
The candidates must demonstrate excellent interpersonal,communication, customer service and organisation skills, together with theability to work well under pressure whilst juggling a varied workload.
We are willing to train and develop the right applicantsand over the years staff have been developed and promoted to senior positionswithin the practice. We believe our staff are important and the management teamare very supportive.
Starting salary will depend on experience raising after completionof a successful 6-month probation period, 25 days annual leave, plus BankHolidays and membership to the NHS pension scheme.
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 GCSEs level 9-4 (orequivalent).
The role involves:
Providing front-of-house customer service to allstakeholders in a professional and friendly manner
Answering, screening and navigating incomingphone calls
Providing accurate information to callers andsignpost to the appropriate person
Booking of appointments
Administration of prescription requests andenquiries
Administration of patient tasks
Registration of new patients
Opening and distributing post
Scanning of clinical correspondence

The duties and responsibilities to be undertaken by themembers of the reception/administration team may include any or all of theitems in the following list. Duties mayvary from time to time under the direction of the Practice Manager, dependenton current & evolving workload and staffing levels.
