Job summary

Worcestershire County Cricket Club in Worcester is seeking a Head of Women’s & Girls’ Cricket. You will lead coaching, development and performance across the pathway from juniors to the senior Women’s team, shaping culture, standards and the playing philosophy.

The role combines hands-on coaching with strategic leadership, budget oversight and stakeholder engagement to build depth and progression for Worcestershire players.

Qualifications

• Proven experience coaching and developing players in a performance environment.
• Ability to lead a senior performance team with an ambitious culture.
• Clear philosophy on player development across an entire pathway.
• Understanding long-term development, talent ID and progression.
• Experience leading and developing coaches with strong line management.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a performance programme.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, strategy and accountability for Worcestershire Women’s & Girls’ performance cricket and pathway.
• Act as Head Coach of the Women’s senior team, EPP and U18 programme with coaching and performance focus.
• Establish playing philosophy, standards and expectations for the senior programme.
• Develop players technically, tactically, physically and mentally to maximise potential.
• Lead junior pathway development and ensure high-quality coaching across age groups.
• Report on performance and progression, manage budgets and stakeholder relationships.
