A leading European IP firm is seeking a part-qualified to newly qualified Patent Attorney for their chemistry practice in Greater London. The successful candidate will engage in high-value, commercially focused work, dealing with EPO oppositions and appeals. Ideal applicants should have a background in chemistry, strong communications skills, and experience with EPO procedures is a plus. Qualifications

An opportunity has arisen for a talented part-qualified or qualified Patent Attorney to join a leading European IP firm’s chemistry practice, supporting global clients in the pharmaceutical and chemical sectors.

Responsibilities

You’ll work on high-value, commercially focused work, including contentious matters, EPO oppositions and appeals, and SPCs. The role offers exposure to a diverse mix of technologies—ranging from organic synthesis and drug delivery to catalysts, batteries, polymers, and cleantech.

Requirements
  • Part-qualified or qualified UK/EQEs (up to ~2 years PQE)
  • Background in chemistry, ideally organic or pharmaceutical
  • Experience with EPO procedures and contentious work (a plus)
