Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented PAT Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and testing electrical appliances to ensure they are safe and compliant with current regulations set out by the IET Code of practice for the inspection and testing of electrical equipment – 5th edition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) at client sites and Wattech facilities.
  • Accurately record test results and maintain detailed reports.
  • Label and document tested equipment with pass/fail status.
  • Identify and report unsafe or non-compliant equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding test outcomes and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety standards.
  • Maintain testing equipment regularly.
Requirements
  • City & Guilds 2377 or equivalent PAT Testing qualification.
  • Previous experience in PAT Testing (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently and manage time effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working in commercial or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with PAT testing software and digital reporting tools.
  • Basic IT skills for data entry and report generation.
