A leading food distributor is looking for a passionate Pastry Specialist to manage and develop its pastry range targeted at high-end kitchens in the UK. The role encompasses overseeing the P&L for the pastry category, driving sales growth, engaging with customers through product demonstrations, and training the sales team on fine food products. Candidates must possess strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a full UK driving license.

Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of Fine Foods within the High-End sector of Hotels and Restaurants.
  • Full UK Driving license required.
  • Strong commercial acumen developed in a food service environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the product range for high-end kitchens across the UK.
  • Manage the P&L of the Pastry category.
  • Cultivate sales growth in collaboration with the Sales Team.
  • Engage customers in product demonstrations.
  • Provide training to the sales team regarding seasonality and quality.

We are looking for a Pastry Specialist to join our team at Ritter Courivaud Ltd. This individual will have a passion for Fine Food notably around the Pastry element and above all a thorough knowledge of the Fine Dining Sector in the UK.

Key roles & responsibilities

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Ritter Courivaud partners with some of the world’s best pastry suppliers. You will develop the range to ensure we remain the primary supplier to high-end kitchens across the UK
  • Overall responsibility for the P&L of the Pastry category
  • To grow the Pastry category sales and P / L working closely with the Sales Team
  • To engage with customers on product demonstrations and liaise with suppliers regarding new product development
  • Product demonstrations both internal and external
  • Development of commercial proposal for the Pastry Category
  • Provide training to the Ritter Courivaud Ltd Sales team advising on seasonality, availability and quality.
  • Ambassador for Fine Food within the wider business
  • Identify growth areas for the Pasty offering within the Hotel and restaurant sector
  • Participate in and organise regular tasting of current and new products
  • To broaden the offering within the category by new product development
  • Responsible for global sourcing and travel may be required
