A luxurious London hotel is seeking a passionate Pastry Sous Chef to join their Kitchen Team on a permanent basis. Responsibilities
  • Relevant hotel experience in managing a team within a kitchen producing a large volume of desserts, afternoon tea pastries & guests amenities
  • Take overall ownership for the correct preparation of mise‑en‑place and service for the pastry department including food safety, stock taking, planning, ordering and rotation
  • To display on a daily basis a proactive attitude and interest to support your learning and development and role model to junior chefs.
  • Understand the style of pastry/Afternoon Tea required in for the department which is to complement the restaurant and 5 stars hotel style. Maintain 2 AA rosette level status. Take ownership for the kitchen in the absence of Executive Chef / Executive Sous chef / Head Chef.
  • Assist the Head Pastry Chef with the department’s ongoing development from onboarding to career development yearly targets.

You will be required to work 40 hours per week, on a shift rota.
