About the Role

As a Pastry Commis Chef, you'll play a key support role within our pastry kitchen, assisting in the preparation of stunning desserts and sweet treats that elevate our dining experiences.

You’ll work closely with the Pastry Chef de Partie and the wider kitchen team to ensure consistency, creativity, and quality are at the heart of every dish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the daily pastry operations under the guidance of the senior team.
  • Assist in preparing high‑quality ingredients including pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
  • Help maintain stock levels, freshness, and correct storage practices.
  • Ensure that food presentation meets our exacting standards.
  • Follow all food hygiene and health & safety guidelines rigorously.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your workstation and equipment.
  • Keep food and fridge temperature records in line with compliance procedures.
  • Contribute to monthly menu development using seasonal, fresh ingredients.
  • Support team morale and contribute to a positive kitchen culture.
Personal Specification

Essentials :

  • Previous experience in a similar kitchen role, ideally within hospitality.
  • Level 2 Food Safety Certificate.
  • A strong understanding of food hygiene practices.

Shift Pattern

Full‑time : 45 hours per week

5 days out of 7, including weekends and evenings

Typical shifts :

  • 08:00 - 17:30
  • 13:30 - 23:00

Flexibility is key - you’ll be expected to support the needs of the business as required.
