Job description
Pastoral Tutor

We are seeking a dedicated Pastoral Tutor to provide outstanding pastoral support for learners, helping to improve attendance, retention, achievement, and progression. This role is key in delivering high-quality tutorial sessions, supporting learner wellbeing, and ensuring every student has the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver group tutorials and 1:1 sessions, setting and reviewing SMART targets to support student progress.
  • Work with teaching staff, parents, and support teams to engage at‑risk learners and improve outcomes.
  • Support students with progression, UCAS applications, enrichment activities, and work placements.
About You
  • A Level 3 Award in Education and Training (PTLLS) or willingness to work towards it.
  • Safeguarding and mental health training to support young people.
  • Strong IT, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with learners and colleagues.
  • A proven track record of supporting young people in their development and progression.
