Location: 3 Dimensions School, Somerset, TA20 3AJ

Salary: Up to 26,000 per annum depending on experience (not pro rata)

Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 4:30pm

Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

At Outcomes First Group, we believe in better work/life balance and are putting wellbeing first. That's why we're proud to be part of a 4-Day Working Week (4DWW) trial, where you can work one day less each week (or equivalent hours), while still receiving your full‑time pay. Many of our schools have already introduced the 4DWW and others are preparing to roll it out as soon as they reach full staffing.

At 3 Dimensions School, we believe that every young person deserves to feel safe, supported, and empowered to succeed. Our school is a place where relationships come first and progress is built on trust, consistency, and care. We're looking for a Pastoral Support Worker to join our team—someone who is calm, confident, and ready to help pupils navigate challenges, build confidence, and re‑engage positively with school life. This isn't just a support role; it's an opportunity to shape young lives and make a lasting difference.

Responsibilities
  • Provide practical and emotional support to pupils, helping them re‑engage positively with learning, build confidence, and navigate challenges.
  • Work closely with staff, families, and external professionals to deliver a consistent, trauma‑informed approach that promotes wellbeing and inclusion.
  • Provide one‑to‑one mentoring and small group support to pupils with SEN.
  • Assist pupils to return to class calmly after incidents or emotional dysregulation.
  • Support behaviour strategies and whole‑school approaches to positive behaviour.
  • Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Person, supporting the DSL with safeguarding duties.
  • Maintain strong relationships with staff, families, and external professionals to provide holistic support.
  • Be a visible, supportive presence around school, modelling positive behaviour.
  • Contribute to school enrichment activities, student voice initiatives, and reward systems.
  • Deliver and promote training such as CPI debrief strategies to staff.
Requirements
  • Genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEN or complex needs (desirable).
  • Trauma‑informed and safeguarding‑first mindset.
  • Full UK driving licence.
