Pastoral Support Assistant

Rate: £90–£110 per day
Contract: Temporary / Long-term

About the Role

We are recruiting a Pastoral Support Assistant to work within a specialist alternative education setting. You will support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour and engagement, helping them access learning in a positive and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional and pastoral support to pupils.
  • Support pupils during lessons and unstructured times.
  • Assist with behaviour management strategies.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning-meta environment.
Skills & Experience
  • Experience in a pastoral, youth work or support role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Calm, empathetic and resilient approach.
  • Commitment to supporting vulnerable pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
