Job Title: Pastoral Managers

Location: Wakefield

Pay rate: Up to £110 per day (Depending on experience)

Start Date: January 2026

Contract type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Full-time / Part-time

Are you passionate about guiding students, promoting well-being, and creating a positive school culture?

GSL Education are seeking Pastoral Managers to work within schools across Wakefield, supporting students’ personal development and ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.

As a Pastoral Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural needs. You will work closely with staff, students, and parents to foster resilience, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

Responsibilities:
  • Support students with personal, social, and emotional challenges.
  • Implement pastoral strategies to encourage positive behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Liaise with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
  • Monitor student attendance, progress, and welfare concerns.
  • Promote an inclusive and nurturing school environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to school safeguarding procedures.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational or pastoral setting.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and calmly.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • Commitment to safeguarding and supporting students’ wellbeing.
