Job summary

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in pastoral care within a school is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate the Student Support Services for on-call requests.
  • Provide contact to families regarding behaviour incidents.
  • Utilise CCTV for effective deployment of support services.

We are looking for a dynamic, resilient and committed individual co-ordinate the work of the non-teaching Behaviour Mentors to set a positive climate for learning throughout the academy by supporting all students to meet the academy's high expectations of behaviour. This is a fast-paced, exciting opportunity for the right candidate to add value to our Student Support Service.

Responsibilities
  • Friendly, enthusiastic children., To co-ordinate the Student Support Services' response to on-call requests for support in a timely, effective manner.
  • To provide timely, detailed and regular contact to students' families regarding emerging and/or ongoing behaviour incidents within the academy.
  • To utilise the CCTV systems to support the effective deployment of the Student Support Services/Senior Leadership Team.
  • To maintain detailed, accurate and timely records/reports of behaviour incidents to ensure the Student Support Services team are able to effectively prioritise any outstanding incidents.
  • Working collaboratively with the Vice Principal and Senior Behaviour Mentor, ensure any outstanding behaviour incidents are allocated to a member of the team to ensure consistent, appropriate and timely actions are taken in line with behaviour processes.
  • Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Be resilient and tenacious in their approach able to flourish in a fast-paced, high pressure role.
  • Be passionate and committed to helping others.
  • Understand the operational role and its strategic elements to build outstanding relationships with children, families and professionals.
Qualifications

While we are ideally looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience in pastoral care within a school, we are open to applications from outstanding candidates with a strong grounding in supporting children and families outside of the education sector – for all prospective candidates a passion for supporting young people, tenacity and a commitment to inclusive practice will be vital for success.
