Based in the borough of Enfield, we provide education to children and young adults with special educational needs and disabilities, from the ages of 4 to 25. We're a disability confident employer that's Investors in People accredited, with firmly held values placed at our core.

The SCHOOL AT A GLANCE
  • Founded in 1938 as an 'open-air' school, we had 80 learners on a single site by 2014. Today, our four campuses - Meridian, Haselbury, Learning for Life, and Horizon - serve more than 500 learners aged 4 to 25
  • We cater for children and young people with a wide range of complex SEND needs, preparing them for adulthood, further education, the workplace, and independent living
  • Our provision includes an Attendance Support Service (ASU), Home Tuition Service, and a post 16 programme that enables learners to continue their studies at a local college
  • Through our Travel Training Programme, many learners gain the confidence and skills to travel independently
  • We actively prepare learners for working life - it's key to what makes us special. Learners meet and engage with employers from a young age, and older students undertake group and individual work placements with local employers
  • Our Supported Internship Programme gives young people aged 16 to 25 the chance to work. Around 80% of interns move into paid jobs, and 90% stay in those jobs.
  • We're a founder member of the Enterprise Cooperative Trust (ECT) in Enfield, working together with local schools and partners to create life-changing opportunities for young people
